Why I started Music Bootcamp

Far too often, students (young and old) are limited by their schedules, which impacts their ability to participate in music ensembles.

Often times, students in school are forced to chose between music class or another elective, and playing an instrument is different from anything students have ever done, and it can be scary to commit to.

At the industry level, many schools constantly face budget cuts, or enrollment disparities that leads to music programs being reduced or slashed altogether.

Some students may never experience the opportunity to learn an instrument, play with other musicians, and experience the joy of collaborating and creating “emotion through sound” together.

Some students end up not be able to, or regret deciding not to join Band/Orchestra/Choir right away, and it can be nerve racking to try to jump in when everyone else already knows their instrument. Some people never get another opportunity.

Some adults never got the chance to play an instrument, and for them it is a life-long dream that seems out of reach, or too hard to get started.

My goal as a musician, in my teaching and music writing, is to provide opportunity for people to use music to connect, create harmonious sounds together, and to relate to and express their emotions.

This is exactly why I created Music Bootcamp, as a way for you to dive in to your musical journey with no restrictions! I want to help you take your first step towards musicianship and your dreams - as seamless and easy as possible. Because once you cross that boundary and get started, I promise you will get hooked and your life will be forever changed! Adults and students welcome, come check it out!
